And to avoid any loss of information on account of memory we have also tuned in a secret hint question that enables you access to your information even in the case of a memory glitch. The current version does not support uninstallation of i-flapp. It must be performed manually.

To manually uninstall i-flapp:

  • Uninstall all applications from i-flapp
  • Delete or restore all mail profiles
  1. Navigate to your i-flapp folder in your Windows Explorer.
  2. Delete the_i-flapp folder. This removes all the i-flapp files.
  3. Delete autorun.inf and the i-flapp shortcut from you root drive.
  4. Delete the i-flapp folder from your Program Files folder .

i-flapp is an auto-run enabled product that automatically loads when you connect i-flapp on a computer However, some hardware may not support auto-run in such an event you can use the i-flap shortcut by navigating to your Windows Explorer and run it from there.

No, you must not remove the drive. In case you do so, it is recommended you close the currently opened i-flapp session and start i-flapp again. It is highly recommended that you must use the safe removal option to keep the i-flapp device in sync.

Yes, you must log on as an administrator for the Application and Mail Sync features to work in the current version of i-flapp. However, the other features do work when you log on with user rights.

  1. Right-click the i-flapp icon on your task bar and a pop-up menu appears.

Prerequisites:

  1. You must log on as an administrator.
  2. Your application should be supported by i-flapp for list of application check question xx faq.

i-flapp does not affect the performance of any applications. However, this entirely depends on the hardware resources of the host computer. Additionally, it also depends on the performance and the type of storage media being used.

No. There are no limitations running applications on any windows based host computer. Applications like the Photoshop CS2 which needs activation, require to be to be activated each time they are used in a new computer. In such cases,, it is mandatory that the applications are deactivated in the previous computer during safe removal, before activating on the new computer.

When you want to continue using certain applications on your host computer, it is recommended that you do not safely remove the application. The application can continue to reside on your host computer as long as you require it. This helps you run the application from i-flapp faster the next time you need it.

The i-flapp Mail Sync feature allows you to access your Microsoft Outlook mail client environment wherever you go. It allows you to sync your mail profiles from your computer into i-flapp enabled drives.

35. How does the Mail Sync feature handle the Microsoft Outlook version compatibility?

The Mail Sync feature supports the same kind of compatibility supported by Microsoft Outlook. This feature support both Microsoft Outlook XP and 2003 mail clients. All profiles of Microsoft Outlook XP can be imported to Microsoft Outlook 2003. However, Microsoft Outlook XP supports only the profiles of Microsoft Outlook 2003, created using the data format of 97-02.

The current version of i-flapp supports POP3/IMAP/HTTP e-mail server type accounts. The next version of I-flapp will support Microsoft Exchange Server mail accounts.

37. What happens if I do not perform safe removal of a profile after synchronizing on a host computer?

In case you do not safely remove the profile, your profile will remain on the host computer. All your personal information on your files and settings remain on the host’s computer and is accessible to anyone working on the host computer.

38. What is the difference between ‘Sync Mail’ and ‘Restore?’

The Sync Mail feature supports dual functionalities. Depending upon the profiles you are viewing from your host computer or i-flapp, it synchronizes complete settings of the profile (mails, contact, appointments, rules etc) from host computer to your i-flapp drive and vice-versa. For the user to continue accessing their profile, it is mandatory that the i-flapp drive is plugged on.

The Restore profile feature is only enabled for profiles stored in the i-flapp drive. This feature when used restores complete profile settings to the host computer and users can continue to work on their profile without the i-flapp drive being plugged in.

39. What does the delete profile do?

The delete profile deletes the selected mail profile information and its associated data from the i-flapp device. It is highly recommended to restore your profile before deleting it from i-flapp.

It is not mandatory to specify a password for your personal folders. However, for security reasons it is highly recommended to do so.

  2. On the File menu, click Data File Management.
  3. Click Settings. The Personal Folder dialog box appears.
  4. Click Change Password.

  6. Click OK.

Bookmarks allow you to export or import your favorites Internet Explorer bookmarks from any host computer to your i-flapp drive. It is highly recommended that you do not do this while an application is being installed as this may cause serious installation errors. In an event it happens, you have to reinstall the complete application again.
